The LRT Overpass is being built in the median of Crowchild Trail NW, between the two road bridges that take Crowchild Trail over Stoney Trail. The overpass is 143 metres long and 9.75 metres wide, and will carry the CTrain over Stoney Trail.
The LRT Overpass is the first component to be built as part of the NW LRT Extension to Rocky Ridge/Tuscany. Construction began in April and the contractor for the project is Graham Construction.
Three bridge piers and the east and west abutments are complete. Next will be the placement of eight concrete girders on the piers.
